Hello. My name is Sue Petersen, and I am passionate about eating healthy!

I am a clinical nutritionist, a New York State Licensed Dietitian, and the owner of Health Simple. My mission is to provide the best nutritional therapeutic programs for people needing a healthy lifestyle. I am your guide for your wellness journey. I take my purpose in life as a wellness advocate seriously by providing excellent support, tools, and proven, well-formulated approaches to my clients. What is the difference between a dietician and nutritionist?

A nutritionist looks at the person from their unique metabolic standpoint while a dietician evaluates calories in and calories out. Nutritionists are board registered while dieticians are state certified. Typically, the nutritionist will have a higher education with a master's degree while a dietician will have a bachelor's degree. Most dieticians will work for state, hospital or government agencies while nutritionist will be independent professionals.

What is different between a nutritionist and a clinical nutritionist?

The journey to becoming a nutritionist starts with a degree program and certifications by state. To become a clinical nutritionist you have a master's degree and have earned a Certified Nutrition Specialty (CNS) credential, which requires 1000 hours of supervised practice experience.
